Step or run to the beat
Certain types of music can help you go longer and feel lighter as you run. In short music can make or break a workout. We have put together a list of songs that will get you to the next level!
You need to find your beat. Think about the route that you have to run and plot the songs on your playlist by their beats per minute (bpm) to make sure you have the right music playing for the right part of your run.
If you run with Nike+ and iTunes you can create a Smart Playlist with any chosen bpm range.
Then it’s time to get creative – Pick something old and something new, make sure that you don’t use all your best songs on the warm-up, save your power songs for when you know you’ll need them, like in the middle of your run or the homestretch.
Check out our list:
- “Shame on Me” – Avicii
- “G.U.Y.” – Lady Gaga
- “Turn Down for What” – DJ Snake and Lil Jon

- “Come On to Me” – Major Lazer feat. Sean Paul
- “Valerie” – Mark Ronson feat. Amy Winehouse
