Natasha Barnard – Then and Now

over the past 18 years the Swimsuit team has been at the forefront of capturing the World’s most beautiful women in the world’s most exotic locations around the globe. In this weekly feature “Then and Now” we will travel back in time and pull out our gorgeous archive footage of World famous Swimsuit models and check in with them to see what they are getting up to these days.

Last week we featured Romanian Goddess 
Catrinel Marlon and this week we catch up with Blue eyed beauty, Natasha Barnard.

Natasha was born in a small town – Witbank, Mpumalanga, South Africa in 1988. Growing up, Natasha wanted to become a game ranger – nature and beautiful animals are very close to her heart, and her instagram today is flooded with beautiful wildlife pictures. Lucky for us her beauty could not be kept under wraps in Mpumalanga for very long, at age 15 Natasha stared her career in modelling and her first encounter with Swimsuit would happen shortly after her 23rd birthday when she travelled to the Seychelles to shoot with Jacques Weyers for South African Sports Illustrated 2011, in the same year Natasha became the Wonderbra Girl.

Natasha went on to book other high profile jobs and yet again joined the Swimsuit team in Thailand in 2012 to shoot with Jacques Weyers on location at Kata Beach. After that she was discovered by Marciano and booked Guess Spring/Summer 2013. After the surge of her career during 2013 it was only natural that she went on to book American Sports Illustrated as a rookie for 2013 and again in 2014.

Her latest work features her shot alongside Leticia Zuloaga and Megan Williams by famed photographer Yu Tsai for a new fragrance Guess Dare, who shot one of our favourite campaigns for Beach Bunny.
