Travel – The Best Resorts in the Maldives

Not too long ago we told you all the best places to stay should you find yourself in the Seychelles. Well we’ve decided to make another list and this time we will be looking at the hottest places one should stay should one make your way to the Maldives. We here at World Swimsuit last visited the island in 2015. Take a look at the best places to stay on the island below.

Ayada Maldives

Stretching over 15 acres, Ayada can be found 30km north of the equator, meaning you’ll always be blessed with great summer temperatures. It is easy to get lost at this resort as you have 6 restaurants to choose from as well as a wine and cheese station which be enjoyed at your own pace by the beach. Oh, and don’t forget to visit their Turkish bath in the spa which will keep you in a tranquil mood.

Shangri-LA’s Villingili Resort & Spa

Normally in the Maldives, one can feel a bit closed-in as the island is not the biggest place, but Shandri-LA is where all this changes. Not many people know about this hidden gem and is perfect when looking for a bit more privacy. From a 9-hole golf course, dolphin cruises to wreck-diving and yacht sailing the resort has all your needs covered.

Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru

Located on a former coconut plantation, this resort is one not be missed. With the panchakarma cleanse you can not only have a holiday but shed that travel weight if you found yourself indulging a bit too much. The villas are also bigger and the resort prides itself on serving healthy food and is famed for its spa. The Marine Discovery Centre located nearby adds a snorkel and ocean lesson all in one.

Huvafen Fushi

This getaway is another of the must visit places on Maldives as the infinity pool will immediately catch your attention. Huvafen Fushi is the place to be if you’re looking to let your hair down with cocktails and great food in abundance and not to mention that a certain Kate Moss chose this place to party the night away not too long ago. In the evening, you can sit and watch the coral garden light up which makes for a magical setting.

Coco Privé Kuda Hithi

For those with cash to blow and want the ultimate in a private experience then there is only one place to be, Coco Privé Kuda Hithi. Featuring one huge master suite, the resort is built from natural materials and its organic shape setup aims to add to the natural setting. One bonus about staying here is the private chef that can whip up anything you desire at a moment’s notice. A mini pathway leads one into a jungle like space where all sorts of wildlife can be seen and with a team of experts around you can really submerse yourself in its surroundings.

World Swimsuit DOES NOT own any of these images and they belong to their respective owners/photographers.
