The Best Sunglasses Brands for Summer

Here at World Swimsuit we’re all about summer and everything that covers our favourite season. Keeping this mind, we have our latest travel post to present, and it’s all about one of summer’s most important accessories, sunglasses.

With the many brands out there that make sunglasses we decided to list the upcoming brands we think you should rock whether you’re chilling poolside or just out and about during the summer season.

Bonnie Clyde

Founded by Jonathen Lee only a year ago, you can be certain that these sunglasses were made to the highest calibre. Why? Well, because Jonathan’s mother has been making sunglasses for over 30 years and he helped her out before launching his own brand. The label’s experimental and colourful frames takes its inspiration from LA’s party and social scene.

Hadid Eyewear

The name sounds familiar and that’s because this brand was started by supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid’s older half-sister Alana. Partnering with her father, the two decided that their love and passion for sunglasses should be made into a business. Their products are inspired by travelling and have been made with a more affordable price point in mind.

Smoke X Mirrors

In 2015 founders David Shabtai and Roi Ironi started showing sunglasses designs to Shabtai’s father, a jeweller, and from there the pair decided to start the brand. The two found that the industry lacked innovation and thus they attempted to add some much-needed current ideas. Their latest collection is inspired by the glam rock era and consists of 6 frames each made with stainless steel and cellulose acetate.

Sunday Somewhere

While not exactly being a newcomer, this brand only recently started taking off and has since become a favourite for none other than Beyoncé. The brand’s designs do not try and reinvent any style but rather focus on clean and simple designs with its colourways and on-trends lenses setting it apart from other eyewear brands.

Alice + Olivia

The only brand on this list that is not solely focused on sunglasses but is rather an extension of head designer, Stacey Bendet’s own personal style. For the brand’s debut collection, they teamed up with Eponym and the two focused on over-sized frames which come in a range of colours and lenses. From what we’ve seen the “Madison” style is certainly the most eye catching with flowers on the sides of the frame and sums up summer in one perfect look!
