Model Takeover of Vogue
It’s a rare occasion to find supermodels gracing the cover of the September issue of Vogue. The magazine is notorious for profiling a famous actress or pop star on the months cover. But this September you’ll find the beautiful Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls posing on front of the magazine. The cover, shot by Mario Testino, has an inside pull out spread which features six other models.
The magazine has acknowledged these successful models as “The Instagirls!” Noting that they are the “models of the moment.” Vogue also commented saying that the girls exhibited on the cover were “all savvy on social media, they’re building their own brands and single-handedly catapulting themselves to this generation’s version of supermodel status.”
The last time Vogue had a collaboration of models posing together on the September issue was in 2004. It was very similar as it featured a range of high-profile models. So ten years later, Vogue obviously thought it was time to gather a display of this generation’s glamorous models. Be sure to grab yourself a copy of this September issue of Vogue to check out the supermodel takeover.
