We woke up this morning to brilliant blue skies and not a cloud in sight so from 6am sharp, all systems were a go. Luckily our rooms at Sugar Beach come with big white robes, not to mention that they are located just off the beach, so we always get a crew member or two rolling out of bed in one, with a coffee in hand, ready to tackle the day ahead.
We kicked things off with a killer sunrise session, featuring Tamara Francesconi, a deserted beach and that beautiful first light you only get on an island. Tamara floored us once more in a variety of pieces, including some gems from Billabong.
Over the course of the rest of the day, we shot interviews with the models and created some magic behind the scenes for some of our sponsors (both Himalaya Herbals SA and Supabets) so that by the time the afternoon rain had passed (yes, Mauritius throws us a little curve ball at least once a day), we were ready to do our first shoot with the ever-gorgeous Kara Del Toro, who flew in from LA to shoot with us again.
After that it was time for dinner and bed because tomorrow is another day and we have to be up to catch the first rays of the day! More to come so stay tuned...
